PRIVACY POLICY
The application of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016), on May 25th, 2018, has established new rules on protection, processing, and free movement of personal data of natural persons.
Through this policy, all partners of the BeauCoup Project pledge their commitment and determination to ensure the safeguard and protection of personal data regarding activities carried out in the framework of the BeauCoup Project, as well as the use arising from this website.
This policy also aims to provide information on the principles, rules and good practices that the BeauCoup Project’s partners observe in processing the personal data entrusted to it, in accordance with the General Regulation on Data Protection (GDPR) and other applicable legislation, and on the means that data subjects have at their disposal to exercise their rights.
I. DATA PROCESSING CONTROLLER
Each partner of the BeauCoup Project is individually responsible for processing the personal data arising from the activities carried out locally (e.g.: Workshops), covering the respective participants, referred to as “data subjects” as provided for in the GDPR.
Regarding this website, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) is in charge of its design and management and, therefore, assumes responsibility for the processing of personal data gathered exclusively through the project’s website, such as managing cookies and communications.
II. DATA PROCESSING
The BeauCoup Project’s website is an important communication tool, where each partner’s results and news concerning the project initiatives are communicated. Some of the information and services offered on this website require the processing of personal data.
None of the personal data is reused for other purposes nor processed for direct marketing purposes unless specifically indicated in a privacy notice for this specific processing operation.
Under certain conditions outlined in law, personal data may be disclosed to third parties (such as law enforcement authorities), if necessary and proportionate for lawful and specific purposes.
The period for which personal data are stored is fixed by law or regulation or, in the absence of this, the period necessary for the pursuit of the purpose for which they were collected and processed, after which time the personal data shall be deleted. Personal data may be kept for a longer period for historical or scientific purposes with the appropriate safeguards in place.

III. NEWSLETTER
Through this website, each visitor is invited to subscribe the BeauCoup Project’s newsletter in order to stay informed about all the activities within the project.
For this purpose, each visitor will be asked for their free, specific, informed and unequivocal consent for using the provided e-mail address, in order to receive our newsletter, by ticking the appropriate option.
SCML is solely responsible for the data processing related to the management of the newsletters concerning the subscriber’s e-mail address, name and location.
SCML has subscribed a licence to use the services of the E-goi platform, which acts as a processor in the context of this personal data processing. Therefore, the personal data processed will be disclosed to SCML and the E-goi platform services.
Each subscriber is free to unsubscribe from the newsletter service at any time. If the data subject wishes to request the erasure of him or her personal data, SCML will delete it within 30 days.
IV. COOKIES
On this website, session cookies are used only to analyse web traffic patterns, which allows us to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Essential cookies will be placed in the visitor’s device since its process is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of SCML with regard to website performance and usability issues. The processing of analytical cookies will be always based on visitor’s consent, which is requested when first visiting the website.
All browsers allow the visitor to accept, refuse or delete cookies, namely by selecting the appropriate settings in the respective browser. Cookies can be set in the “options” or “preferences” menu of the visitor’s browser.
Note, however, that by disabling cookies the visitor may prevent some web services from working correctly, affecting, partially or totally, navigation on the website.

All partners have appointed a Data Protection Officer or a Data Protection Privileged Contact responsible for ensuring, among other aspects, the compliance of the processing and protection activities of personal data under the partner’s responsibility, in accordance with applicable law and this policy.

VI. DATA SUBJECTS RIGHTS
Subject to verification of the legal conditions, it is granted to the data subjects the right to access, rectify, erase, limit or oppose the processing of personal data concerning them.
The exercise of this rights can be carried out through the contacts of each partner’s Data Protection Officer or Data Protection Privileged Contact.
Without prejudice to the exercise of the aforementioned rights, the data subjects may complain directly to the national supervisory authorities, using the contacts provided for this purpose.
For matters related to this website, it is hosted in Portugal and the Portuguese supervisory authority is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
VII. SECURITY MEASURES
Each partner ensures that implements and promotes adequate and effective technical and organisational measures to comply with the principles of data protection, with the aim of ensuring the permanent confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of its processing systems and services.
For the case of this website, the use of computer systems for data processing obliges us to ensure administrative, technical and organisational measures against possible misuse or unauthorised access.
It is, however, the responsibility of the visitors/data subjects to guarantee and ensure that their computers are adequately protected against harmful software, computer viruses and worms. In addition, they must also adopt other security measures such as the safe configuration of the browser or the use of software to create a security barrier.

This policy may be revised and amended accordingly, and changes shall be deemed effective from the date of publication on this site, with express reference to the date of update.
